*DEMIRICOUS’ latest video, for the single “Vagrant Idol,” debuted during MTV2’s Headbangers Ball last month and the single continues to rank on radio charts across the country. This is in addition to the release of the band’s debut album, One, in late January, which went as high as the No 4 position on CMJ’s Loud Rock Chart, No 4 on Media Guide’s Metal Specialty Chart, and even No 9 on FMBQ’s Metal Detector.

The band will be headlining at The Empress Ballroom later this month. Doors open at 7 for an April 27 show, and tickets are available for $10 in advance or $12 at the door. The club is at 155 Main Street in Danbury; call 796-0000 for details.

Also on the bill that evening will be STILL REMAINS, NODES OF RANVIER and IF HOPE DIES.

*This weekend at The Empress, S.A.T.O., “the ultimate Ozzy tribute band,” will headline on Good Friday. Supporting sets will be by DEAD POP STARS and DOWN ON BEDFORD. Saturday’s show will include five bands – DAY AT THE FAIR, EVER WE FALL, RACE THE SUN, APPROACHING AUGUST and THE EVENING EDITION.

*I missed getting an announcement into my column last week about tickets going on sale for The Redneck Revolution Tour’s stop at Mohegan Sun next month. Sorry about that.

GRETCHEN WILSON, TRACE ADKINS and special guest BLAINE LARSEN will play the arena on Thursday, May 11. Tickets are $40 and $55; contact any TicketMaster vendor for tickets.

*Tickets are still available for FALL OUT BOY’s show at Arena at Harbor Yard, which will be on Friday, May 5. Opening sets will be performed by THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS and FROM FIRST TO LAST.

All tickets are $30, and seating will be general admission. Showtime will be early, at 6:30.

*Recent additions to The Webster Theater’s calendar include JANI LANE of Warrant on Tuesday, May 16 (tickets will be $15 in advance); LEZ ZEPPELIN, the female tribute to Led Zeppelin, on Saturday, May 20 ($12 advance); TWIZTID on Sunday , May 28 ($17.50 advance); and COLLECTIVE SOUL on Tuesday, June 6 ($25 advance).
