Courtesy: Just Another Word?

To the Editor,

I have been trying to find someone to plow my driveway this winter since early October when the person who was plowing told me that he would not be plowing this winter. I have called numerous people who do snow plowing and have left a message with their answering service, or on their machine. To date not one of these individuals have called back to tell me that they were booked out, or did not do the area of town that I live in.

Am I being a product of my fifties upbringing, or has courtesy become only a word in a dictionary?
