The public is invited to attend an opening reception and visit a special exhibition to be presented this month at C.H. Booth Library in Newtown.
On Sunday, June 11, Roberta Jones and Andrea Zimmermann will co-host the opening reception for an exhibition of works by the late Lois Zimmermann. Mrs Jones and Ms Zimmermann are the daughters of Mrs Zimmermann. Both reside in Newtown.
The exhibition will be comprised of samples of Mrs Zimmermannâs prolific and diverse work, which includes portraiture, still life, seascapes, abstract, miniatures and sculpture. Ms Zimmermann was a professional artist for more than 30 years and created works in pastel, oil, watercolor and acrylic.
The exhibition will be on view June 9 through June 20 in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown. It can be viewed at any time during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 8 pm; Friday, noon to 5 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, noon to 5 pm. (The library will be closed on Sunday, June 18.)
The opening reception on Sunday, June 11, will run from 2 to 4 pm.
