Faye M.

Murphy

Kind, Caring, Loving,

And Loyal

Faye M. Murphy, 59 of Vernon, previously of Newtown, died October 17 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Ms Murphy was born October 30, 1949, in Bridgeport, a daughter of Dora (Legere) and Arthur W. Murphy.

Three children, including Arthur Randall and his wife, Jenny, of Newtown; four grandchildren; nine siblings, including Tommy Murphy of Newtown; and several nieces and nephews, survive her. She was predeceased by her grandson, Billy Strawson.

Ms Murphy was driven by kindness and a passion to care for all those she knew, and she would not hesitate to give her last dime to a total stranger. She was a dispenser of kindness and love, with a fantastic sense of humor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and a loyal friend to all.

Friends and relatives gathered to celebrate her life on October 21.

Her family would like to thank all of the wonderful, compassionate people in the Waterbury and Vernon chapters of Hospice. Memorial contributions may be sent to North Central Hospice, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon (Rockville), CT 06066; or American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
