A Day To Take Daughters And Sons To Work

Thursday, April 22, is the national Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work day, a program dedicating to helping children explore their future opportunities at work, at home, and in their community.

In Hartford, the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women is sponsoring a day at the state Capitol and the General Assembly. There will be a tour of the state library at 9:30 am, an information treasure hunt in the legislative office building and the Capitol from 10 am to noon, and small group activities in the legislative office building from 1 to 2 pm.

Connecticut Clean Energy Fund will conduct a special activity during the treasure hunt to celebrate Earth Day, which is also April 22.

To participate in the activities in Hartford, call the Permanent Commission for the Status of Women at 860-240-8300 or email pcsw@po.state.cut.us.
