Salutes Wasserman

The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard (2GHG) attended a “Salute to Julia Wasserman,” State Representative for Newtown from 1991-2009, on Saturday, February 14. Major Gordon Johnson, Major Gordon McNeil, 1LT Kim Charney and a Color Guard stood mounted in front of Edmond Town Hall as Former State Representative Mae S. Schmidle and First Selectman Joseph Borst welcomed Wasserman and the public to celebrate her  contributions to the community.

2GHG members were presented with medals commemorating the event, and were honored to be included in this special celebration. As State Representatives, both Schmidle and Wasserman were strong 2GHG supporters and remain special friends. 2GHG Salutes Wasserman, and Troopers and Mounts remain, “Ready to Serve.”
