Scott & Kristen Switzer

Kristen Provost and Scott Switzer were married by the Reverend Jennifer Gingras at Monroe Congregational Church on May 30. The bride was given into marriage by her parents, Lauren and Wayne Provost of Sandy Hook. She wore a gown by Eden Bridals and carried a bouquet made up of pink hydrangea and English ivy.

A reception followed at The Waterview in Monroe, where guests sipped “Switzer Sweet Tea” and enjoyed a Northern and Southern-themed brunch.

The couple had friends and family share the top honors of their day, with three co-maids of honor and three co-best men. Sharon Small of Somerville, Mass., Erin O’Dell of Providence, R.I., and Stephanie Corleto, of Brooklyn, N.Y., shared the female distinction, while Sam Switzer of Anderson, S.C., Matt Provost of Sandy Hook, and Alex McCrory of Fort Wayne, Ind., stood up for Scott.

Sean O’Connell of Newtown was the organist during the wedding ceremony.

Kristen is a graduate of Newtown High School and Northeastern University, and graduated summa cum laude from the latter. She is employed as a student services coordinator at Lincoln Technical Institute.

Scott, who is a son of Micki and Russel Switzer of Anderson, S.C., graduated from Interlochen High School, Eastman School of Music, and Yale University. He s a musician at Yale School of Music.

The Switzers celebrated their wedding with a trip to Cape Cod. They have returned to their home in Branford.
