Campus Notes

Elisabeth Mahoney of Newtown, the daughter of Carol Mahoney and Joseph Mahoney, graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law last spring.

Sisters Laura and Rachel Blau are among more than 792 students who entered Colgate University with the Class of 2009 in late August. Laura and Rachel are the daughters of Susan Blau and Dr Kenneth Blau of Newtown.

Sean O’Mahoney, a junior political science major at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn., is participating in the college’s study abroad program in Bologna, Italy for the academic year of 2005–2006. A graduate of Newtown High School, he is the son of Jane and Kevin O’Mahoney of Newtown.

Alex Guiterman a 2003 graduate of Newtown High School has been named a junior fellow in the sociology/anthropology department at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. This significant honor is granted only when the sociology/anthropology department feels that a particular student has an outstanding record of performance in coursework according to associate professor Susan Diduk.
