Carol Ann Finn
Celebrated Life, Friends, And Family
Carol Ann Finn, 68, beloved wife of Robert J. Finn of Newtown, died February 2, after a brave battle with ovarian cancer since 2006. She was born October 26, 1942, in New York City, a daughter of Anna (Accommando) and Carl Pierelli.
A longtime Newtown resident, Mrs Finn was the director of medical records at Ashlar of Newtown from 1980 to 2005. She was an original member of the Newtown Womanâs Club.
She was a parishioner of St Rose of Lima Church since moving to Newtown in 1967. Those who knew her will remember her love of life, love of throwing parties, and love of her family and friends. She always put others first and cared for all she knew, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Mrs Finn enjoyed traveling around the globe with her husband, and their annual trips to the New Jersey shore. The beach was one of their favorite places to go for a relaxing, family-filled vacation.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Suzanne Silbergleit, and her husband David, of Stamford; her 20-month-old granddaughter, who lighted up her life; her sister, Joan Gallagher of Rowayton; two nieces; and an aunt.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Monsignor Robert E. Weiss in St Rose of Lima Church, February 7. Interment followed in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
