Bariatric Group To Meet Nov. 19

DANBURY –– Dr David Sperling, medial director of Danbury Hospital Outpatient Behavioral Health, will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Bariatric Support Group meeting at Danbury Hospital. The program will be conducted on Wednesday, November 19, from 6 to 8 pm, in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium at Danbury Hospital.

The Bariatric Support Group meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Wednesday of every month to help answer any questions people may have who are considering gastric bypass surgery, and to provide continuous support and maintenance of weight loss following surgery. Gastric bypass surgery is considered a safe and effective surgical treatment for weight loss of severe obesity for people who meet the surgical criteria.
