WATERBURY — Two specialists in pediatric digestive disorders and nutrition will be available to care for infants, children, and adolescents in Southbury, thanks to a partnership between Waterbury Hospital and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Jeffrey Hyams, MD, and Donna Zeiter, MD, will see patients at 2 Pomperaug Office Park, Suite 308, Main Street South in Southbury. Their practice includes the full range of pediatric disorders of the digestive system, liver, and pancreas, as well as nutrition problems associated with chronic illnesses. Areas of special interest include functional gastrointestinal disorders, gastroesophagael reflux, allergic bowel disease, inflammatory bowel disease, food allergy, and chronic liver disorders.

Dr Hyams earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital in Boston, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology there. He is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.

Dr Zeiter earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1990. She completed her residency in pediatrics there, followed by a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is board-certified in pediatric medicine.
