Kenneth J. Zdzieba, 79, of Danbury, formerly of Brookfield, husband of the late Catherine (Stevens) Zdzieba, died at Danbury Hospital on October 9.
Mr Zdzieba is survived by his stepchildren Marie Kovacs and her husband, Paul, of Newtown, Richard F. Evans and his wife, Else, of Desert Hills, Ariz.; six grandchildren Connie Brescia of Bethel, Paul J. Kovacs, Jr of Danbury, Christopher Kovacs of Haywood, Calif., Linda Hogan of Peoria, Ariz., Richard F. Evans, Jr of Glendale, Ariz., and Veronica Mikkelson of Desert Hills, Ariz.; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was born in Clifton, N.J., February 2, 1926, son of John and Julia (Knapp) Zdzieba. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army, and prior to his retirement had worked for many years as the quality control manager at the former Davis & Geck Company in Danbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church, Danbury, on Friday, October 14 at a time to be announced. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Parkinsonâs Disease Association (APDA), 27 Allendale Drive, North Haven CT 06473; or to a charity of oneâs choice.
