To the Editor:

I’m writing on behalf of the management and residents of Nunnawauk Meadows to express our spe-cial thanks to Harvey Pessin and the wonderful volunteers of the Victory Garden.  They always think of us when their hard work produces such delicious vegetables!

Not only do our residents enjoy perusing their own “farmers market” with bag in hand, but they are very appreciative of the time the volunteers spend growing and harvesting these vegetables. For some, this is the only way they can enjoy locally grown produce and eagerly look forward to each delivery.

Our thanks to them again for their support of Newtown’s senior and disabled residents and wish them continued success with the Victory Garden in the years to come.
