The Town Players held their first regular meeting, Friday night, in the Alexandria Room of the Edmond Town Hall, with an attendance of more than one hundred members and friends, who showed much interest at the start of this organization. Persons in the room were selected at random by drawing numbers from a box and they were then instructed to present a series of tableaux on the stage, which proved quite amusing. These were followed by a pantomime. Next was presented a short comedy entitled âMatinataâ by Lawrence Langner. Frozen assets, the kind that when taken from their dry ice fairly melt away in your mouth, were dispensed about the room in true Good Humor fashion. Very welcome on the warm evening, until the summer heat got the better of the dry ice.
