Don Andrews To Present Free Watercolor Program

Don Andrews, a nationally known watercolorist from New Hampshire, will present a watercolor demonstration on Wednesday, July 26, for the Society of Creative Arts of Newtown. The public is invited to the 1:30 program free of charge.

Mr Andrews will be painting his favorite subject, a figure. The demonstration will be at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at the flagpole).

Don Andrews is an active member and past board director of American Watercolor Society. His paintings have received numerous awards in national watercolor competitions, including three awards from American Watercolor Society.

A nationally known artist and teacher, Mr Andrews has conducted over 200 painting workshops throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. He is author of Interpreting the Figure in Watercolor, as well as the video Making Watercolor Glow.

He is also featured in the Watson Guptill publication Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Watercolor and has twice had feature articles published in American Artist magazine.
