Nicole Scalora homered as Newtown Insurance edged Burton Builders in Newtown Babe Ruth Softball U10 action last week. Here are all the results:

 

U10

Newtown Insurance 10, Burton Builders 7 – Nicole Scalora homered and drove in three runs to lead Newtown Insurance. Taylor Thompson, Scarlet O’Sullivan and Stephanie Sanchez played well. For Burton, Morghan Moroney, Moran D’Avola and Tara Hiteshew collected two hits apiece.

Burton Builders 12, Dr Henry Gellert 5 – Samantha Liss, Taylor Johnson and Tara Hiteshew banged out two hits apiece while Morgan D’Avola and Brooke Fell played well.

Burton Builders 20, Karen’s Fitness Center 12 – Tara Hiteshew had two hits and six RBI to lead Burton to the win. Morgan D’Avola had two hits and two RBI and Brooke Fell pitched well. For Karen’s, Liz Tarshis led the offense along with Erin Brown, Margaret Sullivan, and Brittany Soucar. Shelly Davies pitched well.

Century 21 Real Estate 16, Burton Builders 7 – Samantha Liss and Tara Hiteshew collected two hits apiece in a losing effort. Morghan Moroney pitched well.

U12

 

Drug Center 16, Dr Curtis Beck 16 – Kaitlin Marsden had two RBI to lead Drug Center. Kelsey Daniels and Gretchen Carey played well. For Beck, Lauren Johnson drove in a couple of runs while Julie Meehan and Tyler Brinley made some fine plays.

Rushefski Consulting 11, My Place Pizza 9 – Anne Marie Davis, Kristen Brassard and Elissa Robertson provided solid offense to lead Rushefski to the win. For My Place, Annie Hull had a pair of hits and Renata Villareal was strong in the field.

U14

 

Lexington Gardens 20, Attorney Natalia Kerler 12 – Jen Blauvelt collected three hits and pitched a solid game to lead Lexington Gardens to the win. Ashley Christiano and Annie Grills had two hits apiece. For Kerler, Lauren Kostes and Christine Paduano had two hits apiece while Alex Faeth, Adeline Fulmer and Jenna Moser played well.

Attorney Natalia Kerler 13, Newtown Police Union 12 – Trish Reed and Ali Swink banged out doubles as Kerler nipped NPU. Katie Herwig collected three hits. Lauren Jones and Holly O’Day pitched well. For NPU, Jess Oramo had a pair of hits and Mariale Renna had a double to go along with a strong pitching performance.

Newtown Bee 12, George’s Pizza 9 – Lauren Reed went 2-for-2 and Jackie Ercole hit the ball hard to lead the Newtown Bee to the win. Kristin DeFilippe made a fine catch in right field. For George’s, Sara Peters sparked the defense along with Meridith Palo, Jenna Van Waalwijk and Kelsey Cantore.

Attorney Natalia Kerler 14, Villa Restaurant 13 – Katie Herwig banged out three hits and knocked in the winning run to lead Attorney Kerler. Ali Swink played well in the field and Holly O’Day pitched well. For Villa, Sara Regensburger scored a pair of runs while Alison McEmber had a key RBI. Kellie Datin collected three hits to power the offense.
