WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Corcoran Gallery of Art will present “Modernism at the Corcoran: A Scholarly Symposium” on Thursday, March 29, to Saturday, March 31.

This symposium brings to the Corcoran ten scholars from across the United States and Europe to offer insights into the themes explored in the exhibition. It will feature an impressive line-up of scholarly presentations by V&A Curators Christopher Wilk and Corinna Gardner, and other Modernism scholars including Eve Blau, Tim Benton, Amy Ogata, Jeff Meikle, Dorothea Dietrich and Cynthia Williams.

On Thursday evening the symposium will launch a lecture on “Utopia” by Paul Greenhalgh, Corcoran director and president. Guided tours of the exhibition and a Modernism architecture bus tour of Washington will be offered on Saturday. Ticket includes two-day admission to exhibition and refreshments.

Admission for the public is $100; members $75; full-time students of other institutions $50; presented in the Hammer Auditorium.
