Theodor A. Metz, 72, of Naugatuck, died February 29 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Arline (Bendinskis) Metz. Mr Metz was born January 2, 1936, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, son of Valentin and Dorothea (Schmit) Metz.

Mr Metz is survived by his son, Eric J. Metz and his wife, Deborah of Newtown; his daughter, Christine Willis and her husband, John, of Naugatuck; his two sisters, Helmi Triana of Pennsylvania and Ericka Stucke of Florida; his three granddaughters, Amanda, Mary Elizabeth, and Susan; his two nieces; and one nephew.

Mr Metz retired in 1998 from Allied Signal where he worked as an electrician. He was a veteran of the United States Army during peace time and a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour.

 The funeral processed from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, Seymour, March 5, followed by a Mass of Christian in the Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Seymour. Mr Metz received full military honors.
