*Tickets are going on sale this weekend for two shows in December. Fortunately, each show is being offered through a separate ticket service, so between that and the fact the shows are going on sale at different times should help make your ticket-purchasing experience a fairly pleasant one on All Hallow’s Eve.

At 9 am, the Oakdale box office will begin selling tickets for the December 4 QUUENSRYCHE concert. Call 203/265-1501 or be in Wallingford to make your purchase in person. Tickets are $28 and $38 apiece.

At noon, tickets are going on sale through all TicketMaster vendors for the December 12 PHISH concert at Hartford Civic Center. TicketMaster is in most Filene’s stores, and can also be reached be calling 860/525-4500 or 203/624-0033. All tickets for this show are $26.50, plus the usual applicable service charges.

*TREBLEHOOK has a very local show this weekend: The band is at The Fireside Inn in Newtown on Friday, October 29. The show begins at 9 pm, and I believe there is no cover charge to get in.

*Next Saturday afternoon, Bethel resident (and Newtown native) LUCINDA will be offering a live local performance. The singer-songerwriter-multi-instrumentalist will be offering an in-store performance at Gerosa Records in Brookfield. Lucinda, who runs Essey Entertainment in Danbury, will be performing songs from her recently-released CD, called The Sky Is Falling. The afternoon gig starts at 3 pm. Gerosa is on Federal Road, in the plaza area above Costco.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you... on the road.

Questions and comments concerning “On The Road” (or anything music related) should be sent to Shannon Hicks, c/o Bee Publishing Co., 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown 06470, or shannon@thebee.com. Include a phone number for confirmation, please. If you don’t have a stamp or a piece of paper or a writing utensil that works, give me a call! The phone number at the office is 426-3141. Shows listed on the calendar at club locations are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
