Team In Training Meeting January 6

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will hold a Team in Training (TNT) information meeting at the C.H. Booth Library on Thursday, January 6, at 6:30 pm. Anyone with an interest in training for a fundraising event is invited to attend.

Experienced coaches will help participants achieve their optimal performance, based on their own goals and abilities, to walk or run a marathon, cycle a century bike ride, or participate in a triathlon.

A key element of the TNT experience is training in honor of a local blood cancer survivor whose courage provides motivation and inspiration — a partner who faces an even greater challenge than the team member.

Events that are being planned include St Anthony’s Triathlon in St Petersburg, Fla., on April 24; Bloomin’ Metric Century Ride in Norwalk on May 22; America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride at Lake Tahoe, Nev., on June 5; Rock n’ Roll Marathon in San Diego, Calif., on June 5; and the Fairfield Half Marathon in Fairfield on June 26.
