The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard raised more than $4,000 for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital through a 10-mile trail ride on November 7.

Riders asked sponsors to make a donation based on each mile completed during a 10-mile outing.

Under the astute organization of Corporal Laura Razowski, the ride was well attended by riders from throughout the state of Connecticut and turned out beautifully.

Bottom middle are the pairs of Corporal Michael Safarewitz and Corporal Amy Davison, and Corporal Laura Razowski and Corporal Linda Meyers, who participated in the outing and who also won first and second place in their division, respectively, in the recent Newtown Bridle Lands Frost on the Pumpkin Pace in October.

 

And at bottom right, David McAuley and members of the Newtown Bridle Lands Association helped make the drive a success.
