Julia B. Kelley, 84, wife of the late Orin L. Kelley, of Bay Colony Mobile Park, Newtown, died Friday, April 18 in Ashlar of Newtown.
She was born in Seymour, January 20, 1919, daughter of the late John and Annie (Kranitska) Barna. A resident of Newtown 14 years, she had previously lived in Monroe for many years. For more than 24 years she had worked for the Bassick Company in Bridgeport as an assembler. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Sperling and Elaine Kelley, both of Newtown, Shirley Tremonto of Florida, and Nancy Richards of Arizona; a sister, Mary French of Florida; a stepsister, Ann Kerkes, and a stepbrother, Peter Barna, both of Shelton; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, John Barna.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 23, from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, to St Rose of Lima Church, Church Hill Road, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery.
