Entry forms for the 2001 Bertram Stroock Memorial Tennis Tournament are in the hands of Newtown Tennis Association (NTA) members, but any resident may still enter one to three events. Entries are due July 27.

Entry forms can be downloaded at www.ntaweb.com – or call tournament director Bob Gabor at 270-7240.

Events are women’s doubles and singles, men’s doubles and singles, mixed doubles, and men’s 55 singles. Cost is $10 for one event, $15 for two, and $20 for three. Early matches are arranged by the players involved, but semi-finals and finals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2.

If the field is large enough, there will be consolation rounds.

No phone entries will be accepted. Mail your entry check to the NTA at P.O. Box 3432, Newtown, 06470.

If there is a weather problem on the days of the semi-finals or finals, the matches will be moved indoors to the Beaver Brook Tennis Club in Danbury.
