Edwin F. Dudeck, 85, of Newtown, died June 4, in Danbury Hospital. Mr Dudeck was the husband of the late Marie (Spock) Dudeck. He was born in Hazelton, Penn., on January 30, 1925, a son of Verna (Mahosky) and Frank Dudeck.
Mr Dudeck was vice president of sales and marketing for Tesec, Inc of Danbury before his retirement.
A resident of Newtown since 1966, he was communicant of St Rose of Lima Church, where he was a longtime usher and currency engineer. Mr Dudeck was a member of the Newtown Democratic Town Committee and served on the Newtown Conservation Commission. He was also a former president and coach of the Newtown Little League.
Survivors include two sons, Gary E. Dudeck of Newtown and Brian P. Dudeck of Waterbury; three daughters, Bonnie Palko of Freeland, Penn., Judy Watts of Sandy Hook, and Lisa McMinn of New Milford; a sister, Carol Jean Kunkel of Drums, Penn.; 11 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, on Friday, June 11, at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Drums, Penn., on Saturday, June 12, at 11 am. Calling hours were scheduled at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown, Thursday, June 10, from 5 to 8 pm.
