NEWTOWN_METS 6, BROOKFIELD 5: Ryan Clark, PJ_Cochrane and Adam Nanavaty collected hits that led the Mets past Brookfield. CHris Parker and Nick_Saviano also pitched well. Greg Larnerd belted the game-winning hit.

10 Year Olds

NEWTOWN_RED_DOGS 8, NEWTOWN_TEAM (#11) 7: Jacob Burg (bunted the winning run into scoring position) and Joel Minalgo banged out three hits apiece to lead the Dogs to the win. Kurtis Liska and Alex Magoulas (who also had the game-winning hit) pitched well while Bobby Davenport and Sean_Matschke were strong in the field. For Team #11, Keith Hogenauer, Mike Maher, Matt Biscoe, Kevin_McManus and Katie Schmidt all played well.

NEWTOWN_RED_DOGS 14, NEWTOWN_MAROON_MA-RAUDERS 6: Patrick McNulty and Matt Kuruc led the offense as the Red Dogs won again. Ryan Manning and Ken Picerno paced the defense while Mike Fatteroli and Kyle DiNicola pitched well._For the Marauders, Jarrod Modzelewski, Renee Solheim, Nick_Saviano, PJ_Cochrane and Stephen Toi all had solid games.,

11 Year Olds

NEWTOWN EAGLES 14, TEAM (#16) 5: David Modzelewski and Sean Ryan each went 3-for-3 as the Eagles blasted Team #16. Ben Striano and Brian Cullinan combined on the mound for 10 strikeouts while Dan Fiscella, Nick Smith and Brian Pennarola all played well in the field. For Team #16, Brian Fogelstrom, Colin Cienawa, Peter Oggeri, William Georgia, Brenden Kelly and Garrett Georgia all played well.

NEWTOWN EAGLES 9, NEWTOWN MARAUDERS 9: The Eagles were led by David Modzelewski, Sean Ryan and Brian Cullinan on the hill; Jonathan Graham, Nick Smith and William Cawley at the plate; and Shane Huebner in the field. The Marauders were led by Jonathan Larsen and Rich Temple on the mound; Sean Coakley and Michael Tibbets at the plate; Kevin Cahalane and Michael Barbour in the field.

NEWTOWN EAGLES 5, NEWTOWN GREEN MACHINE 3: Ben Striano, Ryan Martin and Nick Smith sparked the offense and led the Eagles to the win. Michael Parilla and Shane Huebner played well on defense while Sean Ryan and David Modzelewski pitched well. For the Green Machine, Seth Hull tossed three scoreless innings while Andrew Chimileski went 2-for-3 with a double. Eric Rodriguez was strong at second base.

BROOKFIELD 9, NEWTOWN GREEN MACHINE 7: Brendan Reilly and Andrew Chimileski combined for nine strikeouts in four innings, but the Green Machine was nipped by Brookfield. Eric Rodriguez, Seth Hull and JP McDade led the offense. Jack Capito excelled behind the plate.

NEWTOWN GREEN MACHINE 7, NEWTOWN (#4) 2: Eric Rodriguez, Jack Capito and Sean Myslewski each went 2-for-2 to lift the Green Machine to the win. Seth Hull and Brendan Reilly pitched well while Tom Selleck led the way in the field. For Team #4, Scott Suhoza allowed just three earned runs while going the full six innings. Jeff Fulton and Brian Duffy played well.

NEWTOWN GREEN MACHINE 6, NEWTOWN YANKEES 4: JP McDade was effective in his starting pitching debut and Andrew Chimileski was unhittable in two innings of relief to lead the Green Machine. Eric Rodriguez, Jack Capito, and Corey Fletcher powered the offense. Brendan Reilly and Sean Myslewski came up with some fine catches in the field. For the Yankees, Jason Pankowski and Alex Dolan pitched well while Dolan also made a rally-stopping catch in centerfield.

13 to 15 Year Olds

NEWTOWN JUNIOR WEST 5, BETHEL JUNIOR EAST 2: Ron Isler fired seven innings of no-hit ball, striking out 14 batters to lead Newtown to a win over Bethel. Isler whiffed the side in the first, third and seventh innings. He also led the offensive attack with a double, triple and two RBI. Dan Jura had a pair of doubles and hauled in two long fly balls in centerfield to help Isler’s cause. Ross Alpert doubled and walked, scoring two runs, while Tommy Ramsdell had two key hits to drive in a pair of runs. Ramsdell also helped Isler behind the plate with a strike-em-out, throw-em-out double play in the second inning.
