HISTORIC YELLOW SPRINGS TALK APRIL 9

AVV 1-18 #726164

PHILADELPHIA, PENN. — Historic Yellow Springs will be the focus of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts’ Art-at-Lunch talk on American art and culture on Wednesday, April 9, from noon to 1 pm.

From its Eighteenth Century role as a fashionable spa town to its Twentieth Century participation in the film industry that produced the sci-fi classic The Blob, the village at Historic Yellow Springs boasts a rich and diverse history. Join executive director Rob Lukens as he weaves the tale of this Chester County gem, including its 36 years as the country school of the Pennsylvania Academy, which he will feature in a short documentary in honor of its 35th annual art show this year.

The academy is at 118-128 North Broad Street. For information, 215-972-7600 or www.pafa.edu.
