To the Editor:

The officers and members of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. would like to thank our family, friends, fellow firefighters, residents of Newtown and out-of-town guests for helping to make our 26th annual Lobsterfest a success.

The rain did not hold people away on Friday night, as it remained steady. Saturday was busy, but we were able to feed the entire crowd.

We would like to thank Maureen Will for the use of her property for parking and our neighbors for putting up with the noise. We need to thank our fellow volunteer firefighters from Newtown Hook & Ladder, Southbury Fire, Stevenson Fire, Stepney Fire & Mill Plain Fire for their man power.

We would also like to thank Newtown Color Center, Keith Cullinan, Associated Refuse, JP Maguire & Mike Scosta for their donations.  A thank you goes out to the Town of Newtown, New Milford, Watertown, Ridgefield & Danbury for allowing us to borrow portable lights.   We have so many people to thank and we are sorry if we missed anyone!

Thank you for the continued support of Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue.  Mark your calendars for the 27th annual on 6/6 & 6/7/14!

Sincerely,

Anthony Capozziello, Karin Halstead, George Lockwood Jr, Mike Burton & Matt Dobson
