Derek Mitchell Schnee

Dianne and Richard Schnee of Newtown announce the birth of their son, Derek Mitchell Schnee, born August 27, at 4:36 pm, at Danbury Hospital.

He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Derek joins two sisters, Megan Petruney, age 18 and Melissa Schnee, age 2½.

Maternal grandfather is Alfred J. Balerna of South Walpole, Mass.

Pia Schnee of Danbury is the  paternal grandmother.
