Mary Mildred (Gross) Maguire of Newtown died November 16, at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center, Ridgefield. She was the wife of the late James P. “Shorty” Maguire, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas J. Maguire and his wife, Lora, of Newtown and James P. Maguire III and his wife, Kathy; and four grandchildren.

At the request of Mrs Maguire, all services will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to St Rose of Lima Church Memorial Fund, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or the American Red Cross, 158 Brooklawn Avenue, Bridgeport CT 06604-2095.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is assisting the family.
