Virginia Quinn

Virginia Quinn, 87, of New Milford, died June 20 at Candlewood Valley Health Care Center, New Milford. She was the wife of the late John Quinn

Mrs Quinn was born in New York City, August 23, 1916, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Dugan Murray.

She was employed by the New York City Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She moved to New Milford in 2002 from Bronx, N.Y.

Mrs Quinn is survived by a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Peck, and her husband Robert of New Milford; seven granddaughters: Kathleen Pond and her husband Chris of Sandy Hook, Mary Mulligan and her husband Neil of Southington; Rosemary York and her husband Michael of North Haven, Patricia Gardner and her husband Michael of New Milford, Kerry Minnock and Beth Minnock both of Washington state; and Kelly Minnock of Goshen, N.Y.; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Daniel J. Quinn, and by a daughter, Kathleen Minnock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 25, at 10 am, at St Francis Xavier Church, New Milford.

Burial will follow at St Francis Cemetery, New Milford.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, June 24, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford.
