Tooth Fairy Feeds Her Sweet Tooth
Tooth Fairy Feeds Her Sweet Tooth
The Tooth Fairy collects not only childrenâs teeth wedged beneath pillows, but sugar-filled treats. On Tuesday, November 6, the Tooth Fairy (Jenna Wilke) greeted children of all ages, including brother and sister Connor and Sydney Flint, when she visited the Dental Associates office on Church Hill Road to exchange a bag of goodies for what they have come to expect from the secretive fairy since they lost their first teeth: money. As the Tooth Fairy weighs the bag of candy bars, chocolates, and cream-filled sweets, each pound earns $2 cash for the children.
As it has done for the last four years, Dental Associates welcomed the Tooth Fairy in the days following Halloween as part of its promotional candy Buyback program. Greeting the parents and children who slipped in the buildingâs front door with sacks full of candy was Dawn Rotella and the Dental Associates mascot, Dr Fox.
Describing her surprisingly well-attended fifth-annual event between 11 and 1, she said, â[Guests] were here when we got here, and they have been coming nonstop.â Following the Flints were Brandon Rodriguez, Kim Magyar, and Ashley Marcinek, one following closely after the other, just as the Flints quickly followed Jocelyn Ford.
The 5th Annual Candy Buyback day netted 576.5 pounds of sweets in the Dental Associatesâ Newtown office. The New Milford office of Dental Associates collected 263.5 pounds of treats, and the Danbury office received another 287 pounds, racking up 1,127 pounds total between the three offices.
Employees will auction off the candy online and donate to local causes. Newtown Youth & Family Services will benefit locally.
So far, Dental Associates has collected roughly two tons of candy since the start of this program.
