Red Cross Marking 100 Years With Vampire Ball

DANBURY — To mark this year’s 100th anniversary, the American Red Cross of Western Connecticut will be holding a Red and White Centennial Gala on Friday, March 3, at the Ethan Allen Hotel. The gala theme will be an inaugural “Vampire Ball.”

The evening’s festivities will include a reception, a seated dinner, silent auction, and a program celebrating the chapter’s rich history. Live music for dancing will be performed by Funkestra & Thomas Carruthers Entertainment, a local renowned nine-member band.

With a goal of raising money and increasing visibility and support for the Red Cross, the event will be funded through ticket/table sales and sponsorships. Gold Sponsor Flagstar Bank and Silver Sponsor SBC invites other local businesses to join them in validating the vital life-saving work of the American Red Cross of Western Connecticut by participating in thE centennial celebration.

The gala will be attended by past and present board members, corporate sponsors, Red Cross volunteers, employees, special invited guests, and is open to the public. Sponsorship opportunities and invitations at $150 per person are available, but reservations are required as attendance is limited to between 250 and 300 people.
