Save The Lake Day Set For June 18

Lake Lillinonah’s annual Save the Lake Day will be held Saturday, June 18, from 9 am to 1 pm. Participants should meet at the Route 133 State Boat Launch in Bridgewater. Promoted by Friends of the Lake (FOTL), Save the Lake Day is a “great opportunity to contribute to your community,” according to the FOTL website at FriendsOfTheLake.org. The volunteer organization seeks help removing garbage and debris from the water and shore.

All supplies and food will be provided.

Whether cleaning on land or on the lake, the website notes, “this is an excellent way to see parts of Lake Lillinonah you may not have had the chance to explore.” Waterfront property owners can also ask volunteer teams to pick up clean debris they have collected and placed in plastic bags on their docks.

Thos who would like to volunteer or are interested in becoming a sponsor should contact volunteers@friendsofthelake.org, or call 860-210-8064.
