Genealogy Club Meets March 9
âPlanning Your Genealogy Research Tripâ will be the topic presented by Virginia Banerjee at the Genealogy Club of Newtownâs March 9 meeting.
Ms Banerjee is an experienced family historian. During many of her field trips she has sought to document ancestry on both sides of her family. She has been accepted as descending from three First Families of Western Pennsylvania, and she has completed research and private publication of a book concerning her late husbandâs Indian family genealogy and memoirs of their life in India in the early 1950s.
Ms Banerjee has lectured on using computers to aid in genealogy, DAR lineage, tax and land records, primary and secondary sources, and heritage and keepsakes to name a few. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Connecticut Society of Genealogists, and the Middlesex (CT) Genealogical Society.
Meetings of the Genealogy Club of Newtown are open to the public, and are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the C.H. Booth Library at 7 pm.
