Charles W. Heran, Sr, 78, of Trumbull, a retired employee of Avco Lycoming, died March 4, at St Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on November 22, 1931, he was a son of Frank J. and Valerie Kovac Heran, and a US Navy veteran.
His wife of 55 years, Marion Chimino Heran; five children, including Michael Heran and his wife, Kimberly, of Newtown; and four grandchildren survive Mr Heran.
Mr Heran was an avid NASCAR and New York Giants fan. However, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his yard.
Funeral services were March 8 in Trumbull. Interment with military honors followed in St John Cemetery, Monroe. To light a virtual candle, visit abriola.com.
