80 Snacks A Day

To the Editor

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who helped me tremendously during the recent Ecumenical Vacation Bible School. The task of feeding 80 children snacks everyday would have been more difficult if not for the wonderful help I received.

I would first like to thank Betty Boggis of the Big Y for her generous gift certificate that helped with the shopping.

I would also like to thank Tom Tully of the Brookfield Shop Rite for the discount of every purchase I made there that week.

Thank you to the manager of the Newtown Stop & Shop for his gift card. They all helped with meeting the budget.

Now I would like to thank the wonderful people who helped me in the kitchen with preparations, deliveries, shopping, great ideas, and support. Kathryn Wolf for lending me your ear, your ideas, your time, and your energy! What a great friend! Renate Williamson for your expertise, your fantastic ideas, and for also lending us your son Greg. Greg, you kept us laughing when we needed it most! Stephanie and Samantha Villa for being there every day! Your help was just what I needed when I started to panic looking for extra hands. Thanks to your mom Debbie for driving you to the church everyday! I would also like to thank my daughter Stephanie for her great contribution every day. It was wonderful to spend all that time with you during such a busy time in your life.

In closing I would also like to thank Sue Vogelman for arranging for us to use the Trinity Church. You made us feel right at home!

Sincerely,

Laurie Badick, Snack Coordinator
