New Retail Hours At Newtown

Beginning Monday, August 31, the retail section of the Newtown Post Office on Commerce Road will be open 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm.  The post office currently opens at 8 am.

Newtown Postmaster Mike Kulikowski said that he and the staff at the Commerce Road facility have been making an effort to get the word out to postal patrons concerning the change in retail hours. Along with an official notice of the time change that has been posted in the lobby since the end of July, Mr Kulikowski said that he is hoping that word of mouth and reminders from the clerks at the post office windows will prevent too many people from being disappointed if they show up to buy stamps at the facility’s former earlier hours.

The lobby of the Newtown Post Office will continue to remain open 24/7, said Mr Kulikowski.
