Louis W. Lesko, 77, beloved husband of Dolores Krause Lesko, a lifelong resident of Fairfield, died December 15 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center.
In addition to his devoted wife of 55 years, his memory will be embraced by his children, Susan Conley, and her fiancé, Douglas Kissick, of Newtown, Jeffrey Lesko, and his wife, Lisa, of Arizona, Richard Lesko and his companion, Susanne Farant, of Bridgeport, Gary Lesko of Woodbury, and Sandra Wallace and her husband, James, of Shelton; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He served in the United States Marines during World War II, and returned home to begin what would be a 40-plus-year career with A&P Groceries. While his family and friends came first, Mr Lesko did enjoy his membership involvements with the St Paulâs Lutheran Church, the Germania Schwaben Club, and its seniors group, as well as the Beardsley Park Branch of AARP.
Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, December 20, from 4 to 8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His funeral service is scheduled for Friday, December 21, at a time to be announced, in St Paulâs Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
