Worry About Hunger, Not Ticks
Worry About Hunger, Not Ticks
To the Editor:
Iâm sure most of us enjoy the small town flavor of Newtown, but have we become so cocooned that issues like the number of deer ticks in town, or the rubber mats on Glover Avenue, or the dog poop at Fairfield Hills actually cause fevered concern for us?
We are at war, crawling from the abyss of financial failure, as divided as our nation has ever been politically, and on and on and on. Could it be that some people need some local rifts to stay civically involved? Worry about hungry people in America, not a local census on tick populations.
