Not Generous Toward Our Heroes                 

To the Editor:

The two articles regarding Bruce Jenner and the Newtown High School football stadium shown in the September 29 issue of The Bee truly shocked me. The blatant razing of Mr Jenner demonstrated a less-than-generous attitude itself. Do we bestow the title of hero on someone hoping to reap a future payoff? If the newly appointed “hero” fails to donate enough or at all will his name be shamed as well? Perhaps whoever is researching the new possible candidates can look into their prior donating history to ensure a “good catch.”
