Justification For Firing Better Be A Good One
Justification For Firing
Better Be A Good One
To the Editor:
We were dismayed to read that Carolee Lee Mason, the best animal control officer we have had in this town for years, has been fired. We do understand that the reasons cannot be published at this time because of pending litigation, but we want to voice our opinion that we have known Ms Mason for years and know her to be totally concerned for the animals in this town and their welfare is her top priority. She has taken in animals to her home and cared for them on her own time and at her own expense. That is what is known as dedication and this town should be applauding her and thanking for going above and beyond her job duties.
Instead the bureaucracy chooses to fire her. Just be advised that these infractions better be very strong because the town could find itself on the wrong end of a lawsuit. Ms Mason feels so strongly about her right to be vindicated that she is prepared to bring suit against the agency firing her and I am sure she will prevail. We have been residents since 1967 so we have seen it all. Hopefully, there can be a fair resolution to this situation.
