TIVOLI ARTISTS’ CO-OP: RECENT WORKS

TIVOLI, N.Y. — As an art community, the Tivoli Artists’ Co-op is a hotbed of inspiration and cross-pollination. A central tenant of the co-op’s philosophy is to stimulate new ideas, and provide supportive environment for experimentation and new work. The show “Recent Works,” which will be on view through March 4, provides a window into the frontiers where these artists are working, testing their skills, honing their ideas and grappling with their muse.

Members of the group work in a myriad of media, with many artists working in more than one. From traditional oil and acrylic figurative work, through abstraction into fine art in craft media such as glass, pottery and textiles, the work is varied and represents the many voices and temperaments of the members.

The artists in “Recent Works” include Lana Hirsch, Barbara L. Walters, Marie Cole, Donna Gould, Mary Untalan, Linda Stanley, Susan Katz, Susan Kotulak, Janet Jappen, Dot Chast, Ania Aldrich, Karl Volk, Pat Klein and Frank Duncan.
