Youth Hockey Jamboree

The Danbury Ice Arena and Danbury Whalers Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Chris Firriolo announced that the Danbury Whalers organization will host the First Annual Danbury Whalers Youth Hockey Jamboree on September 11.

The event will be held at the Danbury Ice Arena and will feature a series of unique games, events, and competitions beyond the traditional hockey tournament format.

Highlights include 3-on-3, half ice games, full ice games, and a skills competition. In addition, as part of the signup, each participant will receive a Danbury Whalers hockey jersey, a ticket to a Danbury Whalers game, and as an added bonus the Danbury Whalers players will make an appearance at one of each participating team’s practices.

“We want to build this event to be an annual stop for youth hockey teams throughout the state. There is a need for the local teams to play closer to home in this type of setting. We are looking forward to putting on a great event that the hockey community will talk about.” Firriolo said.
