Newtown police said that after learning that they held a warrant for his arrest, Roger Ho-Yen, 21, of 16 Chimney Swift Drive turned himself over to them at the police station on the night of August 11 and was charged with second degree failure to appear in court, failure to display a marker plate, and driving while under suspension.
Newtown police said the charge for failure to appear in court stems from Ho-Yenâs failing to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 1 in connection with the two motor vehicle charges that stem from a June 30 incident.
After processing the case, Newtown police released Ho-Yen on $1,000 bail for an August 25 court appearance.
Beer Keg
Police report they found a beer keg and beer tap in the middle of Jo-Mar Drive in Sandy Hook late on the night of August 9. Jo-Mar Drive is a residential loop road that extends off Riverside Road, near Interstate 84.
 The owner of the keg and tap may claim the items at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 426-5841. Sergeant Darlene Froehlich is in charge of found items.
Nissan Vs GMC
Police report an accident involving a sport-utility vehicle and a pickup truck at the Main Street flagpole about 2:55 pm August 12.
Motorist Kimberly Palczynski, 36, of 12 Taunton Hill Road, who was driving a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder westward on Church Hill Road, stopped at a stop sign at its intersection with Main Street, police said.
The Nissan then crossed Main Street in attempting to reach West Street, but collided with motorist John Modzelewski, 21, of 8 Patricia Lane, who was driving a 1987 GMC pickup truck southward on Main Street, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Palczynski a written warning for failure to obey a stop sign.
Ford Vs Ford
Police report an accident involving a minivan and a sport-utility vehicle about 11:58 am on August 14 at the intersection of Merlins Lane and Hattertown Road.
Motorist Jessica Gaddis, 17, of 15 Fairchild Drive, who was driving a 2002 Ford Windstar, pulled out of Merlins Lane onto Hattertown Road, colliding with motorist James Hanley, 64, of Bethel, who was driving a 2003 Ford Escape southward on Hattertown Road, police report.
There were no injuries. Police issued Gaddis an infraction ticket for failure to obey a stop sign.
Wasserman Way
Motorist Tyrel Hundley, 26, of Schenectady, N.Y., who was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta eastward on Wasserman Way about 7:26 pm August 14, passed by that streetâs intersection with Nunnawauk Road and then went into a skid on the wet roadway, police said.
Hundley lost control of the auto and crashed into guardrails along the right road shoulder. Hundley was not injured. Police issued Hundley an infraction ticket for traveling too fast for conditions.

Honda Accident
Motorist Luis Alberto Pintag Tagua, 22, of New Haven, who was driving a 1995 Honda Accord eastward on Route 34 near Bradley Lane about 8:40 pm August 14, told police he encountered a westbound vehicle in the eastbound lane, so he swerved to avoid it, but struck a utility pole.
No other vehicle made contact with the Honda, police said. The Hondaâs driver, plus passengers Edgar Taday, 18, and Miguel Tagua, 18, both of New Haven, were transported to Danbury Hospital by ambulance staffers for medical treatment, police said. Sandy Hook firefighters went to the accident.
Police issued the driver an infraction ticket for failure to drive to the right and failure to have a driverâs license.
Marker Plates Stolen
Sometime between 7:30 am and 4:15 pm on August 15, someone stole both the front and rear marker plates from a vehicle parked at the Super Stop & Shop supermarket at Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the theft to contact them at 426-5841.
Vandalism
Police said they charged Thomas Klinger, 37, of Norwalk on a warrant on August 16, lodging one count of third degree criminal mischief against him. Police said the charge stems from a July 13 incident at a Fern Lane residence in which Klinger allegedly broke a window. Police released Klinger on $200 bail for a September 1 court appearance.
Danbury Man
Police said they spotted a vehicle being driven eastward on Church Hill Road without marker plates about 6 pm August 16, so they stopped the driver on Interstate 84âs Exit 10 westbound on-ramp to investigate.
Police charged motorist Angel Fajardo, 42, of Danbury with failure to display marker plates, driving without a license, and driving without automotive insurance. Fajardo posted $200 bail and was released for an August 30 court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Charges
Police report that while on patrol on South Main Street about 6:19 pm August 17, they spotted a Toyota Tercel driven by Ismael Pazos, 23, of Danbury that had an expired vehicle registration sticker.
Police stopped Pazos to investigate and charged him with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of marker plates, driving without automotive insurance, and driving without a driverâs license.
After processing the arrest, police released Pazos on $100 bail for an August 31 court appearance.
