The Sweetest Gift

To the Editor:

I would like to express my gratitude to Julie Bastos, music teacher at Head O’ Meadow School. Each year, for each grade level, Mrs Bastos manages to put on a performance for the families. This year was the last for my family, and one of the most memorable.

It takes a great deal of work, both during and after school for these shows to come to life, and the dedication Mrs Bastos has to her students is clear. Thank you Julie for your commitment to, and joy of, music. As Bill Bircher said, “The sweetest gift is children’s voices raised in song.” Thank you for giving that gift.
