Gordon C. Parrott

Gordon C. Parrott, 93, a resident of Lockwood Lodge, Newtown, died May 14 in his home.

Mr Parrott was born in Canada and was a Bridgeport resident before moving to Heritage Village, Southbury, and then to Lockwood Lodge one year ago. He was a retired tool and die maker for the Avco-Lycoming Corp. and a member of the Masonic Lodge #423, Herkimer, N.Y.

Mr Parrott is survived by his wife of 71 years, Edna (Hilts) Parrott; a son, Richard G. Parrott and his wife Patricia, of Newtown; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may attend a memorial service on Tuesday, May 23, at 10:30 am in the Stepney Baptist Church, 423 Main Street, Monroe, with the Rev George W. Britt officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stepney Baptist Church Building Fund or the Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 210 Elm Street, Bridgeport, CT.

Arrangements are by the Redgate, Wilmot, West & Goulding Funeral Home, 406 Main Street, Monroe.
