A Collection Musicals Coming

To Edmond Town Hall

Sabrina’s Encore Productions, Newtown’s performing arts school, will be producing its winter season musicals January 28-31, in the theater at Edmond Town Hall.

There has been such an interest in participation over the past few years that the school has broken down the age groups to perform four musicals, all age appropriate to the students’ levels.

Students in grades 1-4 will be performing The Jungle Book Saturday, January 30, at 2 pm. Tickets for this show are $8 and $10. Students in grades 5-6 will be performing Annie Junior on Sunday, January 31, at 2 pm; tickets are $10 or $15 each.

Students in grades 7-10 will be performing the musical 13 on Thursday, January 28, at 7:30 pm, and Friday, January 29, at 8 pm, tickets are $15 or $21, and students in grades 10-12 will be performing Smokey Joe’s Café on Saturday, January 30, at 8 pm, and Sunday, January 31, at 7:30 pm. Tickets for that show are $15 and $23.50. The musicals 13 and Smokey Joe’s will be accompanied by a live six piece orchestra.

The box office opens one hour before each performance and the doors will open one half hour before the performance time. The town hall, at 45 Main Street, is fully handicapped accessible.
