Spend an afternoon of laughter and insight on this clever perspective of getting older and loving life.
A veteran of show business for more than 50 years, Billy Fellowsâs career began in the early 1950s when he performed a unique pantomime act. Billy was the first person to develop the use of live music played over recorded tracks, a practice that is widely used in todayâs entertainment world.
In less than four years he was headlining at New Yorkâs famous Latin Quarter. This led to appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and the 1957 grand opening of the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. From there Mr Fellows went on to play in every major venue in the United States and Europe.
From 1975 to 1984 Mr Fellows made appearances on more than 100 network television shows, including The Mike Douglas Show, The Merv Griffin Show, The Tonight Show, and his own TV special First Impressions, while also recording for MGM Records.
The cruise industry opened up new opportunities for Mr Fellows in 1979, and during the 80s he divided his time between Atlantic City showrooms and cruising, performing as opening act for John Davidson, Vicki Carr, and Dionne Warwick. In 1991 he became a full-time cruise line headliner, traveling the world on all the major cruise lines.
Mr Fellows recently teamed up with William F. Brown and Tina Tippit on a recently completed Broadway show, The Fat Lady Sings, for which he composed both the music and lyrics. Meanwhile, his long-awaited musical comedy CD is scheduled be released in December.
