Daniel A. Moro

Devoted To Family

Daniel A. Moro, 85, of Sandy Hook, loving husband of Betty Moro, died January 30, in Naples, Fla. He was born November 5, 1926, in Port Chester, N.Y., son of the late Concetta (Guido) and Frank Moro.

He attended Port Chester High School and worked for several years for the Town of Harrison, N.Y., lastly as a foreman for the Parks Department. He was active in coaching youth sports, as well as the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Harrison for many years. He was also an avid Yankees fan and a fan of any team his grandsons played on.

In addition to being a devoted husband, he was also a devoted father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. His family was the most important part of his life. He will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him.

Mr Moro is also survived by two sons, Daniel Moro, and his wife Karen, of Harrison, N.Y., and Gary Moro, and his wife Deolinda, of Brookfield. He also had four grandchildren; was brother to Anna Jasensky and Frank Moro, and to the late Josephine Gasparino. Many nieces and nephews survive Mr Moro, as well.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, February 8. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery. The Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements.
