Help Plan An Anniversary Celebration With NFA
Volunteers are encouraged to attend tonight's Newtown Forest Association (NFA) 90th anniversary celebration planning meeting at 7 pm at Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve at 55 Great Hill Road.
Just 18 days remain until the NFA Sunset Wine Tasting Event on September 6, as the NFA Celebrates 90 years of privately preserving open space and Newtown's rural character. The evening promises a wine tasting along with small fare, classical jazz standards by WVR Trio, silent auction and, weather permitting, a spectacular sunset.
The land trust members seek “a few more volunteers to help finalize plans and to help make this day a great success,” according to a recent release. Volunteers are invited tonight, the 19th, and then again on August 26 at 7 pm at the NFA Office at our Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve at 55/65 Great Hill Road. All are welcome to come help plan the event’s details, sell tickets, or volunteer on the day of the event. Tickets will be available for sale this evening from 7-8:30 pm.
Unable to attend and still want to volunteer, make a contribution, donate items for the silent auction or buy advance tickets? Contact Guy Peterson by email at or by phone at 203-733-2030.nfatreasurer@yahoo.com
